JULIE GUINTA
founder + creative director

Julie’s career first took root in fashion, as the U.S. press manager for luxury designer Yohji Yamamoto. She attended Sotheby’s Institute of Art where she received her M.A. in Contemporary Art (ask her anything about the “Denouement of American Suburbia in Contemporary Photography…” no, seriously). After grad school, Julie went on to become the press manager for the London-based auction house Bonham’s, where she managed 60+ auctions a year across 25 departments.

Eight years ago, Julie decided to leave the world of press and explore the world of event design. She built a robust freelance career working with some of the leading event design companies in NYC. She landed at Rye Workshop where she headed up the company’s wedding design division. While there her designs were featured in Vogue, The Knot, Martha Stewart Magazine, Bride’s and several others.

Obsessed with all things pretty, Julie took the leap and started LSC in 2019 so that she could build a team of artists dedicated to making beautiful events for any and all folks celebrating their love for each other… and have fun doing it. She originally hails from Houston, Texas, and now lives in Brooklyn with her husband Geoff and their ridiculous affenpinscher Smalls.

“My goal is to create immersive, inclusive and gorgeous environments for all people to celebrate their unique love — either that be with 200 people beneath clouds made of florals, or just two Sweet Hearts exchanging sweet words. We value quality and high-end design.

I am here to question and disrupt an industry steeped in tradition, so let’s prioritize what our hearts want instead of following the norm. We operate with integrity and produce next level creative for our couples, so their big (or small) day, reflects them and their love.”

Oh no, it’s not just me… meet the LSC fam :)
